The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has crossed its 20-day moving average this morning (25 June) by an increase of 0.14% to 8,567.4 points while the materials sector continues to see a decline of 1.33% as of 10.35am (AEST).
The S&P/ASX200 is 0.83% off its 52-week high as the ceasefire between Iran-Israel continues to benefit the market amid doubts.
After releasing its quarterly report yesterday, Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR) has dropped its share price to $4.34, representing a 4.40% decrease.
Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD), which has a market capitalisation of $5.1 billion, has also seen a decrease of 3.43% to a share price of $4.36.
Capricorn Metals (ASX:CMM) is following closely behind, now trading at a price of $10.05 per share from its 3.27% decrease.
The S&P/ASX200 is Australia’s leading share market index and contains the top 200 ASX-listed companies in terms of market capitalisation, and accounts for about 80% of the country’s equity market. The index is designed to measure the performance of the 200 largest index-eligible stocks listed on the ASX by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
It is recognised as the institutional investable benchmark in the country.
