American Tungsten (CSE:TUNG) has received the first batch of results from drilling on the Zero level of the IMA Mine in the US, which CEO Ali Haji says validates the company’s approach to revitalise the mine.
Initial drillholes intersected multiple tungsten bearing polymetallic veins associated with the main IMA vein system and also east of the main vein system.
Some of the results include 17.8 feet @ 0.435% tungsten oxide and 1.16 ounces per tonne silver, including 8 feet @ 0.69% tungsten oxide; and 3.4 feet @ 1.02% tungsten oxide and 0.84 ounces per tonne silver.
Haji says intersecting multiple high-grade tungsten bearing veins, including historical and newly identified structures, underscores the significant untapped potential of the property.
To date, 22 holes have been drilled on the D level, while 11 holes have been drilled on the Zero level.
IMA is a past-producing mine situated on 22 patented claims located in East Central Idaho. Between 1945 and 1957, the property produced 199,449 metric tonne units of tungsten oxide.
American Tungsten is a Canada-based explorer and developer focused on advancing the IMA Mine project.
