Zeus Resources (ASX:ZEU) has uncovered several chargeable anomalies on the completion of its ground geophysical survey at the Casablanca Antimony Project in Central Morocco.
The company conducted 25 dipole-dipole resistivity and induced polarisation profiles for around 16km of lines.
Anomalies run coincident with the mapped quartz-stibnite veins, which Zeus says confirms a classic geophysical signature that will lower exploration risk.
Chargeability is valued up to 18 millivolts per volt, delineating mineralised structures beneath surface cover.
Zeus intends to target areas indicative of sulphide minerals and quartz veins through a dual-parameter signature that hosts high chargeability in zones of high resistivity.
Increasing in depth and extending beyond the survey investigation limit between 200 and 230m, these discoveries are comparable with veins and mineralised structures located in the Smaala-Oulmès Fault Zone.
Executive Director Hugh Pilgrim says the company is positioned to further develop and advance the project, which will be followed up with trenching and drilling.
“The survey results provide clear confirmation of both shallow anomalies and continuous zones at depth, directly associated with mapped stibnite veins,” Pilgrim says.
This comes shortly after the company executed a licence agreement with a Newmont (ASX:NEM) subsidiary to bolster its understanding of the Moroccan claims with the exploration database and regional framework study, as reported by Mining.com.au.
Meanwhile, the geophysical results of this program have confirmed a connection between surface sampling and anomalies, with rock chip samples returning grades exceeding 10% antimony.
