Zeus Resources (ASX:ZEU) has identified ‘high-grade’ antimony with results including 2m @ 22.69% antimony from the first stage of trenching at the Casablanca Project in central Morocco.
Assays from Trench 1 and Trench 1A have revealed a quartz-stibnite system within the emerging Smaala–Oulmès structural corridor.
The company describes the system as “robust” and “high-grade”, delineating the corridor along the Smaala–Oulmès Fault Zone. The fault zone holds primary control of mineralisation across the project.
As reported by Mining.com.au, Zeus identified antimony oxide mineralisation that holds quartz vein in early February 2026, with assays just returned.
Zeus has begun mobilisation for the remaining seven trenches of this program, following approvals from the Forestry Department for the broader footprint, as reported by Mining.com.au in December 2025.
Upcoming trenching will target previously identified strike extensions and parallel vein systems uncovered in mapping and geophysics programs. Results will help plan maiden drilling in Q2 2026.
Executive Director Hugh Pilgrim says these laboratory results, along with the initial trenching program, are “highly encouraging” for Zeus for confirming near-surface antimony along strike.
“The identification of a high-grade core exceeding 22% antimony validates the company’s targeting approach and demonstrates clear potential for scale,” Pilgrim says.
“With the Smaala–Oulmès Fault Zone now recognised as a high-grade mineralised corridor, the company is rapidly advancing exploration to test the remaining 3.8km of strike.”
