Yugo extends Erak gold discovery with ‘high-grade’ drilling

Yugo Metals (ASX:YUG) reports further ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts from its maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Erak prospect within the Sinjakovo Project in Bosnia‑Herzegovina.

The company completed nine diamond holes totalling 1,057m at Erak. Latest results include 36.1m @ 2.3 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 51.8m in hole ERDD006, including 3m @ 14.5g/t Au from 51.8m and 1.9m @ 16g/t Au from 86m.

Additional results include 10.4m @ 2.6g/t Au from 74.6m in ERDD009, incorporating 1.2m @ 20.9g/t Au from 74.6m, and 22.4m @ 1.1g/t Au from 75m in ERDD007.

CEO Petar Tomašević says the drilling validates the company’s geological model and highlights Erak’s potential to host a significant gold asset.

“The drilling at the Erak gold discovery is delivering fantastic results. These results validate the Company’s geological model and highlight the potential for Erak to host a Tier‑1 gold asset,” Tomašević says.

Gold mineralisation at Erak is associated with hydrothermal phyllic alteration zones containing silica‑sericite‑pyrite assemblages. The company reports mineralisation remains open in several directions.

Yugo is preparing access tracks to relocate the drilling rig to the eastern part of Erak, targeting the location of the best trench result to date of 61m @ 1.5g/t gold. The company plans preliminary metallurgical testwork to inform future studies.

Yugo Metals holds 100% ownership of the Sinjakovo and Cajnice projects in Bosnia‑Herzegovina, positioned within the Tethyan metallogenic belt.
