Winsome Resources (ASX:WR1) reports further assays have confirmed ‘high-grade’ lithium within the company’s wholly-owned Adina Project in Quebec, Canada.
These assays are from 14 drillholes completed in the central portion of the Main Zone at Adina and include several more than 50m intersections, with grades above 1% lithium oxide (Li2O).
Winsome reports the latest assays include hole AD-22-042 with 47.4m @ 1.64% Li2O from 32.7m; AD-22-036 with 55.5m @ 1.35% Li2O from 28m; and AD-22-035 with 59.4m @ 1.26% Li2O from 41.6m.
Additionally, the company reports ‘exceptionally’ ‘high-grade’ zones continue to be intersected within the pegmatite body. These results include hole AD-22-036 with 9m @ 2.40% Li2O from 49m, including 15.1m @ 2.00% from 26.3m; and AD-22-041 with 18m @ 1.92% Li2O from 48m, including 14.6m @ 2.15% Li2O from 32.7m.

Commenting on the drill results, Winsome Resources Managing Director Chris Evans says: “Results from drilling are demonstrating that Adina is a robust lithium project well placed for development to supply future North American demand. We have intersected mineralisation on every drill section over a 700m strike length.
The assay results are supporting our initial interpretation based on logged spodumene-bearing pegmatite zones which allows us to plan drilling effectively and efficiently without having to wait for assay data.”
Winsome reports that an additional 38-holes over 8,600m have been drilled at the Adina Main Zone, defining a substantial continuous pegmatite body over a strike length of 700m and to depths 200m from surface.
The company states that mineralisation remains open along strike to the east and west of these results as well as a down dip. Additionally, assays have been received from 21 drillholes of the 38-holes completed to date, and drilling continues at the site with 2 rigs in operation.
These results will be reported when they become available. Additionally, the company expects to provide an update on its Cancet drilling campaign in the near term, which is running concurrently with the Adina campaign.
