Advanced gold and copper exploration company Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) has uncovered a ‘significant’ extension of a ‘high-grade’ shoot from an ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Windinne Well prospect within its Golden Range Project in Western Australia.
The results, generated by 11 assays out of a total of 21 RC holes completed at the Windinne Well prospect, demonstrate the shoot extends for at least a further 150m in depth and remains open.
The company says results also provide clear evidence of the latent, untapped primary gold potential at depth at Golden Range, which Warriedar is aggressively pursuing this year.
Key intercepts include hole WORC056 with 4m @ 5.17g/t gold (Au) from 52m; hole WORC049 with 1m @ 2.86g/t Au from 119m; hole WORC055 with 4m @ 2.56g/t Au from 250m; and hole WORC047 with 1m @ 2.52g/t Au from 153m.
Drilling began at Windinne Well on 12 January 2023 with an initial program of 21 RC holes in order to test for an extension of an existing ‘high-grade’ shoot both along strike and at depth. A total of 35 RC holes have been completed at both the Windinne Well and Austin deposits, with drilling now focussed on the Mugs Luck deposit.
Warriedar notes drilling is being undertaken following the discovery of multiple ‘high-grade’ shoots at Windinne Well from north to south along the belt, with the deepest historical intercepts returned including 8m @ 3.48g/t Au from 310m from drillhole (WWDD039), and 8.9m @ 5.95g/t Au from 294m (WWDD038).
With drilling still ongoing, Warriedar Resources announces follow-up extensional and resource growth drilling at Windinne Well has been planned for later this year to test an induced polarisation (IP) anomaly to the north and a ‘repeat’ IP target to the east.
Residual assays from Windinne Well drilling are also expected to be received in coming weeks, with results from Austin and Mugs Luck drilling to follow.
