Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) is set to begin further growth-focused drilling later this month within the Golden Range Project in Western Australia.
A reverse circulation drill rig is scheduled to arrive on site this month at the Windinne Well deposit, which is located west of the main Mougooderra shear zone on a parallel splay.
The deposit has gold mineralisation hosted within banded iron formation.
This news comes after Warriedar received assay results from a reverse circulation drilling program completed in Q4 2024.
Warriedar, which has a market capitalisation of $43.96 million, says 12 out of 13 holes drilled in the main Golden Corridor focus area intercepted significant gold, including up to 11.69 grams per tonne gold.
CEO Amanda Buckingham says these results are further demonstration of the regional potential that the Golden Range tenure offers for extensional mineral resource growth.
“Testing the broader Golden Corridor target suite, outside of our flagship Ricciardo deposit, is a key focus for 2025,” Buckingham says.
“We believe a similar exploration strategy to that adopted at Ricciardo in 2024 — drilling immediately below and along strike of existing open pits — has excellent potential to deliver similar success.”
The aim of the 2025 drilling program was to rapidly understand the remaining untested historic pits within Golden Range. Some of the main objectives included validating historical results, as well as testing the potential for along strike and down dip extensions where no previous drilling had been conducted.
The Golden Corridor, within the Golden Range Project, includes the Austin, M1, Windinne Well, central Ricciardo, Azure Coast, and Bugeye deposits.
Warriedar Resources is a gold-focused explorer with an existing resource base of over 2.3 million ounces of gold across Western Australia and Nevada.
