Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) has mobilised a second reverse circulation (RC) drill rig to begin drilling at the Baron prospect, located within the Fields Find Project in Western Australia.
The company reports this drilling is being conducted by contractor Challenge Drilling and represents the first ‘major’ exploration program to explore for primary gold mineralisation at Baron in over 7 years.
The planned phase one program at Baron comprises about 5,000m and is designed to assess scale potential. Step-out drilling is designed to test beneath and along strike from the existing deposit.
This program will also be testing for targeted parallel lodes to the northwest and south of the existing lode.

The company states drilling at Baron is part of the overall 40,000m program that Warriedar expects to drill across its Murchison Project during 2023. The first RC rig continues to drill key target locations across the Golden Range Project.
