Gold and copper exploration company Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) has initiated a ground electromagnetic (EM) survey at the Golden Range and Fields Find Projects, located in Western Australia.
The survey will cover 2 targets identified from 2014 Airborne EM survey data at the Golden Range Project, and 6 targets from 2023 Airborne EM survey data at Fields Find.
Warriedar states that the program is being conducted by Vortex Geophysics, under the direction of leaders in EM survey planning and data modelling, Newexco Exploration. The company also notes this initial program is expected to take 2 weeks to complete.
Additionally, Warriedar reports the data will be collected using the fixed loop EM configuration, based on well-constrained filament modelling using the Airborne EM data.
The Ground EM data is collected prior to drilling, which will allow the geometry of the subsurface conductor to be better understood and the pierce point for optimal testing to be better constrained.
The company also notes that two reverse circulation (RC) rigs continue to drill key existing targets across both projects, with 4,752 samples awaiting assay analysis at the lab.
The Golden Range Project is located in the Murchison Province of Western Australia and hosts about 950,000 ounces of gold resource, spread along a dominant central shear corridor.
The Fields Find Project is located to the east of the Golden Range and contains elevated levels of nickel, copper, and gold. Exploration work is currently targeting the discovery of sulphide-hosted gold and base metals deposits.
