Victory Metals (ASX:VTM) has appointed Emma Doyle, former deputy chief of staff for US President Donald Trump, as the company’s senior advisor for US strategic engagement.
CEO Brendan Clark says he was inspired by Doyle’s energy, passion, and knowledge, suitable for this role, upon their meeting in Washington earlier this year.
“Emma’s engagement signals that Victory Metals is not just participating in the critical minerals race, but leading it,” Clark says.
“With direct White House experience and unparalleled networks across Washington, Emma gives Victory Metals the advantage to ensure our project is front and centre in the US administration’s critical minerals and defence supply chain agenda.”
Doyle has accumulated 15 years of experience in politics and policymaking, acting as a senior White House official during President Donald Trump’s previous tenure, as principal deputy chief of staff in 2018-2020. Following this role, she acted as deputy chief of staff for policy to the First Lady.
Prior to her work in the West Wing of the White House, Doyle spent two years as the chief of staff of office management and budget, being the first political appointee to serve as chief of staff of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
She also worked for members of Congress in the House and Senate, and served for the Republican National Committee’s Official Proceedings team as a member.
Her appointment follows a recent meeting between President Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, where the pair formulated plans to create a secure supply chain of rare earths and critical minerals, amid Chinese export bans, as reported by Mining.com.au.
The meeting resulted in each country agreeing to provide a minimum of US$1 billion ($1.52 billion) in investments across Australia and US-based projects in the next six months, towards a pipeline of US$8.5 billion.
Victory Metals is an Australian explorer focused on developing its flagship North Stanmore Project in Western Australia.
