Vantage Metals (ASX:VAN) has appointed mining engineer Amanda Mueller as a non-executive director and Rachel Kogiopoulos as CFO, bringing its finance function in-house.
Mueller has experience across open pit gold and iron ore operations, project management, investment, and mergers and acquisitions.
She is a director of mining investments and project development at Integra Capital, which Vantage identifies as its largest shareholder. Her role includes leading technical due diligence and project evaluation across mining investments, financing, and strategic partnerships.
Mueller previously worked as a senior mining engineer at MACA Mining and a mining engineer at Vale (NYSE:VALE).
Non-Executive Chairman Neil Warburton says Mueller brings ‘significant’ project development experience to the Vantage board.
“We look forward to her valuable insights in project management, development, and evaluation,” Warburton says.
Meanwhile, Kogiopoulos joins Vantage with more than 25 years of experience across the mining and mineral processing sectors. Her work has included finance transformation, business planning, and strategic leadership for mineral exploration and development companies.
She most recently served as finance and business services manager at gold developer De Grey Mining, which was acquired by Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) for around $6 billion.
Kogiopoulos is a certified practising accountant and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Vantage Metals, formerly Belararox, is an Australia-based mineral exploration and development company with active copper and base metal projects in Botswana and Argentina.
