Nova Minerals (ASX:NVA) hosted a US Congressional delegation at its Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project in Alaska, US, on 24 August.
The Western Caucus Foundation brought the delegation to view the project in Alaska’s West Susitna Mineral District.
The visit reflects continued federal interest in Estelle, which combines one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold deposits with a rapidly advancing US antimony supply chain initiative.
The delegation included four US Representatives: Celeste Maloy (Utah 2nd district), Brian Babin (Texas 36th district), Jeff Hurd (Colorado 3rd district), and Pete Stauber (Minnesota 8th district), along with Joseph Cavatoni from the World Gold Council.
The visitors saw developments funded by the Department of War’s (DoW) US$43.4 million ($60.4 million) Defense Production Act Title III award to accelerate a fully secure, vertically integrated US domestic supply chain for antimony in Alaska.
The Estelle antimony deposits and pilot scale processing facility at Port MacKenzie remain on track for first production in 2027.
The visit included an aerial overview of key infrastructure and project locations, including the pilot facility and Port Mackenzie, as well as the proposed West Susitna Access Road alignment.
At Estelle, the delegation received an overview of development projects before taking a helicopter tour of the project area, including the Stibium and Styx antimony prospects and the RPM gold deposit.
CEO Christopher Gerteisen says hosting members of the US House and Senate provided an opportunity to demonstrate the scale of the project and progress made.
“As we move toward antimony production in 2027 and continued advancement of the Estelle Gold Project, we appreciate the ongoing engagement of policymakers who recognize the importance of strengthening America’s resource and manufacturing base,” Gerteisen notes.
The visit follows a series of executive orders aimed at securing the US defence supply chains for critical minerals and opening Alaska’s energy and mineral resources.
