The S&P/ASX 200 ended Monday marginally higher, with six of the 11 sectors in the green by the closing bell.
The index, which added 6.90 points to close at 8,257.40 points, is virtually unchanged over the past five days but is currently 3.02% below its 52-week high.

Materials wiped off 1.36%, with Bellevue Gold (ASX:BGL) the biggest loser after announcing a 2025 financial year production downgrade.
The miner ended the session down 13.97% at $0.99 followed by aluminium giant Alcoa (ASX:AAI), which retreated 5.70% to $57.28.
Uranium miners, however, were the flavour of the day as Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL) advanced 5.88% to $1.35, Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) climbed 5.75% to $2.76 and Paladin Energy (ASX:PDN) rose 5.47% to $8.68.
The S&P/ASX200 is Australia’s leading share market index and contains the top 200 ASX-listed companies in terms of market capitalisation, and accounts for about 80% of the country’s equity market. The index is designed to measure the performance of the 200 largest index-eligible stocks listed on the ASX by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
It is recognised as the institutional investable benchmark in the country.
