Toubani Resources (ASX:TRE) says operations at its Kobada Gold Project remain on track despite recent attacks, which involved coordinated assaults on Mali’s capital, Bamako, and northern regions.
According to the company, the recent security incidents have not interrupted construction and drilling operations at the project.
“The company advises that all personnel are safe with established security and travel procedures being adhered to,” the company says.
Toubani says it is in constant communication with representatives of the Mali government and local authorities.
Construction work has “increased significantly” throughout the March quarter of 2026.
“Contractors and personnel continue to mobilise to site with supply chain and logistics corridors remaining open,” the company says.
“The project anticipates a large volume of materials to arrive on site in the coming weeks, following the offloading of several shipments at the Port of Abidjan.”
Engineering and procurement activities are progressing as planned to support the construction phase.
The company is also well advanced with its Coris Bank (BRVN:CBIBF) senior debt and mezzanine facilities as well as other project financing for definitive documentation about the early environmental assessment stream.
Financial close is still targeted for the June quarter of 2026.
Toubani Resources is a gold developer and producer with assets mainly in Mali.
