Toubani scores Malian approval for Kobada permitting

Toubani Resources (ASX:TRE) has received approval from the State of Mali over its environmental and social impact assessment of the Kobada Gold Project, paving the way for on-site activities to begin later this year.

The Ministry of Environment, Sanitation and Sustainable Development only included minor modifications to the assessment for Toubani to finalise ahead of starting permitting plans at the project.

Outlining measures for construction and operations to cover environmental protection, community engagement, and sustainable development, the company states the approval indicates environmental and social performance.

Managing Director Phil Russo describes the approval as a significant step for the company to progress the Kobada Project.

“It is a testament to the quality of the work completed by our team and our consultants, and to our strong working relationship with the Malian authorities and local communities,” Russo says

“With this milestone achieved, we are well positioned to continue to derisk the project, complete permitting and continue our development planning for Kobada.”

Toubani Resources is a West African explorer focused on developing its Kobada Project.
