Tivan (ASX:TVN) is on track to deliver a final investment decision in October 2026 for the Speewah Fluorite Project in Western Australia, as it is in the final stages of completing a Feasibility Study.
The Feasibility Study, expected to be completed in February 2026, will focus on a mining and processing operation at Speewah, producing acidgrade fluorspar of 97% for export into global markets.
A large body of work has advanced throughout 2025, including key study workstreams such as process plant and non-process infrastructure engineering, mining studies, and metallurgical testwork.
Tivan, which has a market capitalisation of $458.5 million, is also advancing an ore sorting concept study in parallel to the Feasibility Study. The concept study will evaluate the benefits of incorporating ore sorting process technology into the project.
Speewah is progressing as an incorporated joint venture between Tivan, Sumitomo Corporation, and JOGMEC, with ETFS Capital recently joining Tivan as a strategic financing partner.
Executive Chairman Grant Wilson says an insight of additional resource potential at Speewah is expected between January and February next year.
“With project funding now secured on a conditional basis, it is important that Tivan affords an appropriate window for Sumitomo Corporation (TYO:8316) and Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) to review the material progress we have achieved,” Wilson says.
“Over the next few months our team will be working hard to integrate the new information from the field and to advance dialogues with the Western Australia and federal governments in support of the project.”
The Speewah Project, located 100km south of the port of Wyndham, hosts fluorite and vanadium. The fluorite resource contains 37 million tonnes, including an 8.6 million tonne high-grade component.
