Terra Clean Energy (CSE:TCEC) has engaged Rollins Construction and Trucking to build five drill pads and excavate seven trenches at its wholly owned Marysvale Uranium Mines Project in Utah, US.
Mobilisation and site work are scheduled to begin on 21 September. The contractor will also prepare access routes for field crews and equipment.
The trenches will expose targeted uranium-bearing outcrops for geological mapping, radiometric surveying, and systematic sampling.
Terra says it plans to integrate the results with its historical database, three-dimensional geological model, and recently completed airborne radiometric and photogrammetric surveys to refine drilling targets.
Once completed, the pads will support a diamond drilling program targeting areas associated with the historical Prospector and Freedom mines, as well as extensions identified through recent technical work.
CEO Greg Cameron says the work marks the project’s transition from planning and permitting to field operations.
“With the contractor now engaged and a 21 September start date established, we are moving from planning and permitting into active field operations at Marysvale,” Cameron says.
“The five drill pads and seven trenches will give our geological team direct access to the priority areas identified through our historical data compilation, 3D modelling, and airborne surveys.”
The fieldwork follows Terra’s announcement of a C$2 million ($2.01 million) brokered private placement.
The company says proceeds from the placement will support capital expenditure and working capital across its uranium portfolio. The raise could increase to C$2.3 million if the lead agent exercises an option to issue additional units.
