The Tennant Creek Alliance, comprising Tennant Minerals (ASX:TMS), CuFe (ASX:CUF), and Emmerson Resources (ASX:ERM), is evaluating the viability of a multi-user facility for processing copper-gold resources from all of the companies tenure in the Northern Territory.
Since forming the alliance in October 2024, the companies have been collaborating to complete a Scoping Study and Prefeasibility Study (PFS) to assess options including a single multi-user facility based in the Tennant Creek region.
The alliance technical teams have been conducting several activities using a combination of in-house technical teams and external consultants. These activities include resource updates for CuFe’s Orlando and Gecko deposits, as well as initial mineralisation models of Tennant’s Bluebird deposit, and Emmerson’s Hermitage and Jasper Hills deposits.
Other activities include an option analysis for process plant locations, underground and open pit optimisation, as well as mine design, and scheduling.
The companies are also underway with a metallurgical testwork review and modelling, logistical network evaluation and optimisation, and operational and capital cost estimations.
Under the alliance, the companies will also consolidate shared resources across their assets to reduce operational and capital costs.
CuFe is the operator of an unincorporated joint venture with Gecko Mining which owns the Orlando-Gecko deposits, and Goanna Projects at the Tennant Creek region.
Emmerson owns a landholding covering 1,800km2 in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field, one of Australia’s highest grade gold and copper fields, which has produced over 5.5 million ounces of gold and 470,000 tonnes of copper.
Tenant Minerals is focused on advancing its Bluebird copper-gold discovery within the Barkly Project near Tennant Creek.
