Auris begins follow-up gold drilling at Morck Well

Auris Minerals (ASX:AUR) has begun a 2,400m aircore drilling program to follow up gold anomalies at its Morck Well Project in Western Australia’s Bryah Basin.

The program is planned to comprise 20–26 holes across the Jacques East and Frenchy’s South prospects, about 130km north of Meekatharra.

At Jacques East, Auris says it will initially drill on 100m spacing, with areas displaying notable quartz veining or alteration to be infilled to 50m spacing.

Historical drilling intersected gold mineralisation at the prospect, which the company interprets as containing a flat-lying supergene component associated with regolith boundaries. The latest program will test for extensions along strike.

A further six holes will be drilled at Frenchy’s South on 25m spacing to assess the grade and distribution of mineralisation in greater detail. Previous drilling returned anomalous gold mineralisation across 1.2km at the prospect.

Managing Director Mike Hendriks says the program will further test the two prospects following earlier drilling campaigns between 2019 and 2023.

“The program is designed to test for strike extensions of high-grade gold mineralisation at Jacques East and further evaluate the nature of gold mineralisation at Frenchy’s South,” Hendriks says.

“Auris continues to evaluate high-quality targets at the Morck Well and Forrest projects to determine how best to extract value from these projects.”

The company holds an 80% interest in Morck Well tenements E51/1033 and E52/1672. CuFe (ASX:CUF) owns the remaining 20% and is free-carried until a decision to mine.

Auris explores for gold and base metals across approximately 223km² in the Bryah Basin, divided between its Morck Well and Forrest project areas.
