Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) has secured $230,000 under Western Australia’s Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) for a geophysical survey at the Five Wheels Project in Western Australia.
The company will finalise agreements and award contracts, and will continue collaborative work plans with stakeholders for 2024-25 financial year at the project, before conducting the survey.
Tempest says the airborne gravity gradiometry survey, including gravity and magnetics, will cover all of the granted tenure at FiveWheels.
In recent times, the company notes gravity surveys have been successful in finding base metals in the Earaheedy Basin.
Western Australia’s EIS funding covers up to 50% of the costs to the applicants activities being conducted. The co-funded geophysics program provides funding mechanisms for geoscience-based research.
The Five Wheels Project covers 266km2 in the Earaheedy Basin and is considered prospective for gold, copper, lead, and zinc.
