TechGen sets up for maiden drilling at Blue Devil

TechGen Metals (ASX:TG1) has completed all preparations ahead of its first drilling program at its fully owned Blue Devil Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia.

Located within the Halls Creek Orogen in the East Kimberley region, the maiden campaign spans a combined area of 195km2 and targets the Blue Devil and Red Devil prospects.

Recent fieldwork identified a third area of iron and quartz-rich gossanous outcrop at Red Devil.

The newly discovered zone parallels previously identified copper-rich rocks and sits above the Red Devil induced polarisation (IP) target.

TechGen confirms 16 rock chip samples are now at the laboratory, with assays expected next week.

Managing Director Ashley Hood says the company has reached an exciting milestone with all preparations complete ahead of maiden drilling.

“These targets have never been drill-tested; however, historic exploration had identified copper, gold, and favourable pathfinder geochemical signatures across multiple datasets,” Hood says.

She adds that Blue Devil has “scale” and is the company’s priority target, while Red Devil is defined by a “very strong” IP chargeability supported by notable rock chip results.

The company is targeting large-scale copper-gold mineral systems, with the project considered prospective for porphyry copper-gold, iron oxide copper-gold, intrusion-related gold, and copper-gold skarn deposits.

TechGen notes it is the first company to apply modern geophysical methods across the project.

The company has already obtained approval for its program of work and completed heritage surveys for the campaign.

It is currently mobilising contractors ahead of inaugural drilling.

TechGen Metals is an explorer focused on developing copper, gold, and antimony via its assets in Western Australia and New South Wales.
