Narryer Project

TechGen identifies mafic and ultramafic rocks during field work at Narryer Ni-Cu-PGE Project

TechGen Metals (ASX: TG1) reports that is has encountered ultramafic and mafic rocks following inaugural field work within the eastern magnetic anomaly area of its Narryer Project in Western Australia.

The company notes that the results provide potential for the project to host magmatic massive nickel/copper and PGE sulphides.

In addition, TechGen is set to apply for a new Exploration Licence (E09/2699) that is pegged to cover the northern extension of an interpreted 15km x 4km mafic-ultramafic intrusion.

Speaking on the discovery, TechGen’s Executive Technical Director Andrew Jones said: “The rock chip assays results have provided us with an early and exciting ‘Proof of Concept’ confirming that mafic and ultramafic rocks are present in the easter magnetic anomaly area.

“These results have encouraged us to apply for another exploration licence which covers what we interpret to be the northern extension of the mafic-ultramafic body”

In addition, an ultrafine soil sampling campaign has been completed along 12 east-west sample lines, with results awaiting finalisation.

The 380km² Narryer Nickel-Copper-PGE Project is located approximately 650km north of Perth on the western edge of the Archean-aged Yilgarn Craton, which covers a total area of 1,200km x 100km across the emerging under-explored Western Ni-Cu-PGE Province.

With inaugural field work now complete, the company reports that it will move forward with its upcoming exploration license application while it awaits soil sampling results.
