Tambourah Metals (ASX:TMB) has applied to begin heritage surveys in selected areas at the Russian Jack Lithium Project in Western Australia.
The $16.58 million market capitalisation company has wrapped up an aerial reconnaissance survey conducted over numerous outcropping pegmatite locations at the project.
Tambourah says the heritage survey will be launched in accordance with the results of the reconnaissance survey.
An aerial reconnaissance survey was undertaken to confirm and map the pegmatite swarms across the locations within Russian Jack, alongside assess the geological potential of the area and gather information to guide future exploration work.
The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation’s (CSIRO) data was used and applied to confirm the first pass targets locations at the Russian Jack site.
Extensive pegmatites have been uncovered and subsequent fieldwork will begin in earnest in the coming month.

The company says ground inspections will now ensue to evaluate, map, and sample the extensive pegmatites. This on-ground assessment will provide valuable insights and support with selecting areas of interest for heritage surveys and future exploration activities.
Both Tambourah and the CSIRO have been working collaboratively to generate information using machine learning from hyperspectral data to assess the most probable locations and extensions of the pegmatites above and below the surface.
The 3 targets identified were inspected and are planned to be integrated into the company’s ongoing exploration planning, once verified.
Tambourah Metals is a junior exploration company, focused on developing critical mineral projects in Western Australia. As of 30 June 2023, the company had $2.56 million cash at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
