Board and management changes can sometimes reflect instability in a company. But more often, and as seen this week, these changes mark how junior miners are strategically positioning to align with market conditions and to signal their alignment with shifting global priorities.
This week’s top picks spotlight the reshaping of boards and technical teams with a focus on capital markets expertise, alignment with US critical minerals policy, and corporate growth strategies — key industry themes signaling how the sector is positioning for global demand shifts.
EV Resources strengthens board with capital markets veteran
EV Resources (ASX:EVR) has announced the appointment of Timothy Young as non-executive Director, effective immediately, bringing a wealth of experience in capital markets and investor relations to the role.
Young has over 25 years of experience across Australia and Asia, working through capital raisings, IPOs, and institutional engagement. Young has previously held roles as Managing Director and Head of Equity Sales and Trading at MCM Partners, Director of Equity Sales of Trading (Asia) at Renaissance Capital, and various senior positions at Mirae Asset Securities and Cantor Fitzgerald.
He currently leads Coscar Investor Relations, advising listed companies in investor relations, funds, and capital markets strategy.
EV Resources’ non-executive Chairman Shane Menere says that Young’s “deep capital markets expertise and institutional relationships directly strengthen our ability to engage the market as we advance toward antimony production”.
“His appointment reflects our commitment to building a team that can capitalise on the urgent demand for critical minerals.”
EV Resources is currently accelerating its transition into a near-term antimony producer.

Myriad Uranium brings on US policy advisor
Myriad Uranium Corp (CSE:M | OTCQB:MYRUF | FSE:C3Q) has appointed Eric Miller as a strategic advisor to lead the company on its US critical minerals strategy.
Myriad is advancing the Copper Mountain uranium project in Wyoming, with a focus on utilising federal and state policy tools focused on accelerating US domestic uranium supply.
CEO Thomas Lamb says that Miller’s experience sits across the “intersection of US government policy and critical minerals development”.
“He has worked directly on high-profile critical minerals initiatives with the US federal government and on behalf of resource companies navigating the US regulatory support, funding program, and interagency coordination landscape.
“His network spans the agencies and congressional offices responsible for implementing DPA Title III authorities, DOE programs, and permitting reform, positioning him to build the relationships essential to advancing Copper Mountain.”
Myriad Uranium holds a 75% interest in Copper Mountain, with a definitive agreement to acquire the remaining 25% interest from Rush Rare Metals Corp (CSE:RSH).
Magnum Mining bolsters technical team with new exploration manager
Finally, Magnum Mining and Exploration (ASX:MGU) | OTCQB:MGUFF) has appointed Leonardo Fraga as Exploration Manager, as the company looks to strengthen its technical capabilities as it advances its Brazilian rare-earth portfolio and US gold-copper and rare-earth elements (REE) assets.
Fraga has over 15 years of experience as an exploration geologist, with a track record across REEs and gold exploration. Magnum notes that Fraga’s combined expertise is ‘highly strategic’ as the company executes its dual-commodity growth strategy.
Fraga will lead the company’s ongoing 10,000m drill program at the Piracanjuba Project at the wholly owned Azimuth REE Project in Brazil, which is expected to deliver a JORC-compliant exploration target and maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).
Magnum notes that this appointment reflects the company’s focus on building a “high-calibre technical team” to support its goals and advancement.
Managing Director Antonio Vitor says that the company is excited to bring Fraga on board.
“He brings a highly complementary skill set, with deep technical expertise in rare earth systems and a strong track record progressing projects from early-stage exploration through to mineral resource definition,” Vitor adds.
“His experience across North American gold and base metals exploration further strengthens our capability to advance our portfolio in both Brazil and the United States.”
