LaFleur Minerals (CSE:LFLR) has received drill results from the Swanson Gold Project in Canada, which CEO Paul Ténière says showcases the potential for it to evolve into a “much larger gold system than previously defined”.
The latest results highlight new gold discovery zones with the presence of broad, continuous zones of gold mineralisation that extend well below the limits of the current resource model, expanding and confirming the potential for a large-scale gold system.
Some of the results include 68.3m @ 2.29 grams per tonne gold; 255.04m @ 1.18g/t gold; and 136.1m @ 1.65g/t gold.
In addition to the wide intervals, isolated ‘high-grade’ zones were encountered, including assays of up to 1m @ 86.8g/t gold, occurring outside of the currently defined mineralised envelopes.
Ténière adds that intersecting broad zones of consistent gold mineralisation demonstrates the scale and continuity of the system.
“Importantly, these holes not only extend the deposit beyond the current resource envelope but also highlight the presence of higher-grade zones that could enhance the overall economics of the project,” he says.
Four diamond holes were completed between vertical depths of 300–450m and spaced over a 120m strike length. The holes were designed to test the down-dip continuity of the Swanson deposit.
LaFleur says further drilling is ongoing at Swanson, and additional updates will be provided as results become available.
The ongoing diamond drill program is targeting priority areas identified through extensive historical data compilation and recent fieldwork.
Swanson covers 19,214 hectares and includes several prospects rich in gold and critical minerals.
