Star Copper (CSE:STCU) has begun drilling an inaugural hole on the Star North target, located 1km northeast of the Star Main project area in Canada.
The hole, SN-25-001, is currently drilling at a depth of 144m. The hole is designed to test the heart of the target, coincident magnetic and induced polarisation chargeability anomalies beneath strong copper in-soil trends and mapped copper showings.
Star Copper adds the hole will also evaluate the relationship between geophysics, alteration, and sulphide distribution at depth.
CEO Darryl Jones says this inaugural hole is a milestone for the 2025 program and is a step towards demonstrating a second copper centre alongside the Star Main location.
The Star North target hosts two documented copper styles – semi-massive chalcopyrite in veins and stringers within strongly silicified and brecciated volcanic units, as well as fine to blebby disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite in quartz monzonite with potassic alteration.
Star Copper is an explorer and developer focused on critical minerals, primarily copper, in mining-friendly jurisdictions.
