Star Copper (CSE:STCU) has submitted a drill permit to conduct drilling at the newly acquired Copperline Project in British Columbia, Canada, after completing a field program.
In July 2025, Star Copper entered into a definitive agreement with Zimtu Capital Corp (TSX-V:ZC) to acquire the Copperline Project. The company intended to compile legacy data, create a 3D geological model, and execute a staged exploration program ahead of conducting diamond drilling.
The inaugural reconnaissance field program on the 945 hectare property confirmed historical copper-silver mineralisation and collected infill soil samples designed to test extensions of known geochemical anomalies. Assay results remain pending.
CEO Darryl Jones previously noted the project is an “exciting” addition to the company’s growing portfolio of assets in British Columbia.
“With its compelling geology, strong infrastructure access, and historical grades, Copperline represents an exceptional copper-silver opportunity in a proven metallogenic belt, with striking similarities to Iskut-owned Imperial Metals (TSX:III) this project could rapidly become a high-priority,” Jones says.

Star Copper says several historically recommended exploration activities remain untested and represent priority targets. These activities include an induced polarisation geophysical survey that was never completed, as well as drilling at the West and Dave’s zones.
Other activities include drilling where there are strike extensions and down-dip potential within the project.
Copperline hosts copper-silver mineralisation that is considered characteristic of volcanic redbed copper systems and consists of disseminated and vein-controlled sulphides, including bornite, chalcocite, chalcopyrite, and tetrahedrite.
Star Copper is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on advancing its project portfolio in North America. The company’s flagship Star Project is an alkalic copper-gold porphyry asset located within the Golden Triangle and Golden Horseshoe regions of British Columbia.
