Star Copper (CSE:STCU) has mobilised an additional rig upon finalising drilling preparations at the Copper Creek target within the Star Project in northwestern British Columbia.
The program is helicopter-supported, drilling two holes for around 400m to test previously identified mineralised intervals, as well as copper-gold soil and rock anomalies coincident with a strengthened induced polarisation chargeability response.
Ahead of drilling, Copper Creek has undertaken extensive geological, geochemical, and geophysical campaigns to advance the target to be drill-ready.
CEO Darryl Jones says the high-priority copper-gold targets at the Copper Creek prospect is an exciting step for the company.
“The integration of historic and modern datasets has provided a clear vector toward structurally controlled copper mineralisation that remains open in all directions,” Jones says.
The target hosts two copper-in-soil anomalies that remain open to the north, south, and east, scaling 550m by 1,000m.
Star Copper is a mineral explorer focused on advancing its portfolio of assets in Canada.
