St-Georges attains new Julie targets for upcoming exploration

St-Georges Eco-Mining (CSE:SX) has identified new high-priority targets for the next phase of exploration at the Julie Nickel-Copper-Cobalt-Platinum Group Elements Project in Canada, after conducting a surface prospecting program.

Detailed mapping, additional channel sampling, and a geophysical interpretation integrated the new showings to refine drill targets will be undertaken for the next exploration phase.

The data will be used to evaluate a potential link between nickel-bearing lenses and the newly-identified mineralisation to the west.

This news comes after St-Georges conducted the surface prospecting which identified the mineralised showings, as well as confirmed consistent presence of platinum group elements (PGEs) across multiple zones, marking a first for the project.

Grab samples from the historical Julie Zone returned 1.65% nickel, while consistent PGE values were recorded across the project with a combined platinum and palladium grade of up to 0.172 grams per tonne.

St-Georges adds that a new western mineralised zone was discovered, with prospecting 4km west of the main Julie trend highlighting a new zone – Vincent Showing – characterised by iron and associated PGEs.

CEO Herb Duerr says confirming nickel in the historical zone and establishing a widespread platinum and palladium footprint is an “important” development for Julie.

“The discovery of the new, structurally distinct Vincent Showing, with its high-grade iron and associated precious metals, strongly supports our geological model of a large, multi-phase magmatic system,” Duerr says.

The Julie Project, located in Québec, Canada, covers 16,277 hectares and is prospective for nickel, copper, cobalt, palladium, platinum, silver, zinc, and magnesium.

St-Georges Eco-Mining holds a diversified portfolio of projects in Canada, as well as patent-pending intellectual property within highly prospective subsidiaries.
