Mining services company SRG Global (ASX:SRG) has secured $225 million worth of contracts in Australia across the resources, building and health sectors.
Talison Lithium has enlisted SRG to provide ongoing mine site infrastructure sustainment works, including tailings dams facilities and other ancillary services for its Greenbushes Lithium Mine in Western Australia.
Talison is a private company owned by joint venture partners Tianqi Lithium Corporation and IGO (ASX:IGO), which collectively own 51%, and Albemarle Corporation as the remaining stakeholder.
The Greenbushes Mine comprises a number of open cut mining pits for spodumene (lithium mineral) and lithium concentrate production facilities.
Talison is undertaking construction of a third chemical grade lithium mineral production facility to increase production to supply lithium concentrates for two new lithium hydroxide operations at Kwinana and Kemerton.
The mine sits about 250km south of Perth and Fremantle, a major container shipping port, and 90km southeast of the port of Bunbury, a major bulk handling port, in the southwest of Western Australia.
The contract with Talison is already underway and is expected to be completed in 2025.
SRG, which has a market capitalisation of $422.3 millon, has also won a contract with Gina Rinehart-backed Hancock Prospecting for the private iron ore producer’s corporate headquarters redevelopment in Perth.
Roy Hill produces around 60 million tonnes per annum of iron ore from its 70% owned Roy Hill Mine in Western Australia.
The company will work with PACT Constructions on the engineered curtain wall facade and structures. The contract will start immediately and is expected to be completed in 2025.
SRG has also locked in contracts with Built for the Chifley South development in Sydney, Lendlease at the Melbourne Metro Oversite Development South and Multiplex for the Joondalup Health Campus Development in Perth.
Managing Director David Macgeorge says with ~$500 million in new contracts secured in the last quarter, many of them long-term, SRG Global is in a period of “significant momentum”.
