Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has pinpointed three drill targets at its wholly owned Cinto Project in southern Peru after combining historical geochemistry and magnetometry results with an induced polarisation survey.
Induced polarisation was conducted over eight lines for 16.2km with each dipole spaced 100m for 200m of line spacing to test copper mineralisation.
This program emphasises higher sulphide content specifically to the northwest with chargeability anomalies up to four times of the background levels extending to depth and resistivity contrasts falling within the Incapuquio fault zone, along the northwest to southeast structures.
Two zones of 0.68km2 and 0.22km2 returned higher chargeability, as well as the known copper oxide mineralised breccia outcrops hosting a resistivity response of 0.75km2, suggesting towards phyllic alteration.
Upcoming targets will test coincident chargeability, phyllic alteration, and low magnetic response areas.
CEO Mitch Thomas says the recent survey has validated the company’s confidence in the project, boosting its understanding of the mineralised system.
“The combination of induced polarisation chargeability and resistivity anomalies, combined with our previous magnetic surveys, mapping, and rock geochemistry, provide a strong basis for a drilling programme planned for Q4 2025,” Thomas says.
“Exploration at Cinto complements copper-gold drilling underway at Chancho al Palo and a programme that will start shortly at Ilo Este.”
The company has begun permitting with the Ficha Technica Ambiental process accelerating up to 20 drill pads, with drilling expected for Q4 2025.
