Scottie Resources (TSX-V:SCOT) has received further assay results from drilling at the Blueberry Contact Zone in Canada, which informs target generation and drill prioritisation for an upcoming field season.
The upcoming field season will focus on expanding known ‘high-grade’ zones and testing new conceptual targets emerging from the evolving geological model.
The latest assays include multiple gold intercepts from the BB Vein and the Fifi Vein zones, highlighted by 5.60m @ 30.42 grams per tonne gold and 8.85m @ 9.67g/t gold.
Scottie says the zones represent shallow well-defined areas of mineralisation that form an ‘important’ component of the early underground mine plan outlined in the project’s preliminary economic assessment, as previously reported.
President Thomas Mumford says the results continue to confirm the strength of the Blueberry Contact Zone.
“We’re seeing improving continuity across wide, high-grade structures, which is encouraging from both a mining and development perspective,” Mumford says.
“We continue to incorporate last year’s drilling into our modelling, further augmenting our drill planning for this coming season and providing us confidence in our ability to grow and enhance the value of this system.”
Over the past six years, exploration at Scottie has highlighted the discovery of four new zones and the expansion of several historically drilled targets. The company says a clear spatial relationship has emerged between the zones and the contact with the Jurassic-aged Texas Creek Plutonic Suite, providing a framework for ongoing targeting.
The Scottie Gold Mine Project consists of 20 mineral claims and 14 Crown granted claims for a total area of 8,534 hectares.
Scottie Resources will be in attendance at this year’s Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), held from 1-4 March in Toronto, Canada. Mining.com.au is a media partner for this year’s convention.
