Scandium Canada delivers best 2026 intercept from Crater Lake

Scandium Canada (TSX-V:SCD) has reported its best intercept to date from this year’s diamond drilling program at its Crater Lake Scandium Project in Nunavik, Québec.

Hole CLB26076 intersected the longest intercept of scandium mineralisation at 140m, with a grade of 293 parts per million (ppm) scandium oxide (Sc₂O₃). This includes a 30m ‘higher-grade’ section of 512ppm Sc₂O₃.

The hole was drilled as part of Scandium Canada’s recently completed bulk-sampling drilling program at the TG deposit area of the Crater Lake Project.

In total, 19 holes were drilled for approximately 3,400m.

The new results comprise assays from eight other holes, with three of them also returning more than 100m of continuous mineralisation each, according to the company.

Including earlier results, all 12 holes reported to date have hit scandium mineralisation, at grades in line with the current resource estimate, Scandium Canada says.

The TG deposit is currently defined by an indicated resource of 16.3 million tonnes (Mt) at 277.9ppm Sc₂O₃ and an inferred resource of 20.9Mt at 271.7ppm Sc₂O₃.

The company is currently in the process of completing a resource-expansion drill program, targeting 36 holes for approximately 4,000m.

‘Objectives met’

Across the broader 2026 campaign, a total of 40 holes or 7,701m of drilling had been completed as of 22 September, with another seven holes planned, according to Scandium Canada.

“We are very glad about the pace and results of the 2026 drilling campaign,” says CEO Simon Thibault, who notes that all of the company’s objectives have been met so far.

Among these is the collection of a representative bulk sample of about 15–16 tonnes to support metallurgical test work leading to a Feasibility Study.

The company also says it confirmed lateral extensions of the TG deposit to the north and south for a minimum of 240m to date, while identifying additional exploration targets on the property.

Scandium Canada expects its 2026 drilling campaign to be completed by 13 October, with final drill core samples to be sent to the labs shortly after.

Scandium Canada is a critical minerals company developing North America’s only primary scandium source at its Crater Lake Project in Québec, Canada.
