Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) is planning diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling to follow up ‘high-grade’ gold results at its Munarra Gully Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia.
The program covered 28 aircore holes and 12 RC holes for 3,648m at the project, located 50km north-northeast of Cue, in April and May.
Reinterpretation of historical data revealed large undertested areas along the 2.6km Amaryllis Shear Zone.
A standout intersection came from hole MGRC26011, which targeted a 300m gap in previous drilling. Significant results include 13m @ 21.64 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 122m, including 5m @ 55.56g/t Au from 124m and 1m @ 221.00g/t Au from 124m; and 7m @ 0.52% copper (Cu) from 128m within the same intercept.
Key results from other drill holes include 7m @ 2.15g/t Au from 132m, concurrent with 4m @ 0.62% Cu from 132m; and 7m @ 3.86g/t Au from 65m, including 1m @ 26.10g/t Au from 68m.
Managing Director Peter Harold describes Munarra Gully as “a bit of a sleeper” for the company.
“We always wanted to follow up some of the previous drilling, recognising that the tenement package was still very prospective for gold and copper,” Harold says.
“Our exploration team has done an outstanding job to target a highly prospective area and get these bonanza gold grades … in one of the RC holes.”
Rumble is planning a diamond twin hole to determine the orientation of ‘high grade’ veining, while follow-up RC drilling will focus on defining the extent of the mineralisation.
The company also intends to fast-track the definition of a maiden gold-copper mineral resource at the Amaryllis prospect following the next phase of drilling.
Located in the Murchison Goldfields, the Munarra Gully Project consists of three tenements covering 123km², with Rumble owning 100% of two tenements and 80% of E51/1677.
Rumble Resources is an explorer with a portfolio of multi-commodity projects in WA.
