Reward Minerals (ASX:RWD) latest laboratory work program has delivered ‘highly positive’ results, designed to optimise reaction times of specific technical stages of its new potassium sulphate (SOP) processing technology.
The company reports the results provide the company ‘strong’ encouragement to continue developing its newly discovered potassium sulphate processing technology from seawater and other high-sulphate brines.
Reward also reports the finalised program cultivated in the ‘small-scale’ production of ‘high-purity’ SOP with a concentration of 53.7% potassium oxide (K2O), 56.8% sulphate ion (SO4), and greater than 0.1% chloride ion (Cl).

Additionally, the SOP produced is very ‘high-quality’, as it was analysed to be 99.4% pure, with impurity levels well below typical export quality standards.
Commenting on the ‘positive’ results, Reward Minerals Cheif Executive Officer (CEO) Lorry Hughes says: “To produce such high-purity SOP using readily available equipment and simplified processes could translate to significant reductions in capital and operating costs for commercial scale operations.
Estimates of these costs will be generated as part of the current Engineering Scoping Study (ESS) planned for completion mid-year.”

Over the next 2 quarters, Reward Minerals will focus on a number of key activities, including the advancement of the Reward Process, international patent finalisation, and licensing activities for third parties.
Additionally, the company plans to advance the ESS for the KP Lake Project and seawater derived brines based on the Reward Process, as well as engage with solar salt, fertiliser, and seawater desalination companies worldwide to discuss the application of the company’s technology within the proposed SOP developments for possible joint ventures (JV’s).
Reward Minerals is an ASX-listed, advanced-stage exploration and development company. The company’s wholly owned flagship project is the Sulphate of Potash Project, located 340km east of Newman in the Little Sandy Desert of north-western Western Australia.
