Resolution lassos Clewett for Horse Heaven funding

Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) has appointed Clewett Global Services as the external affairs advisors, in hopes of engaging with the US Government for funding of its Horse Heaven project in Idaho.

The 2025 Budget Reconciliation Bill sees the US Government contributing US$2.5 billion ($3.85 billion) through the National Defense Stockpile to accelerate the production of critical minerals, as well as an additional US$500 million expediting loans, loan guarantees, and technical assistance through the Department of Defense Credit Programs.

While Congress anticipates passing the bill next month, Resolution intends on applying for applicable funding when made available, including opportunities offered by the US Department of Defense’s Title III and Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainable (IBAS) programs.

These programs will assist the company by fast tracking its production of critical minerals by developing “resilient” supply chains.

Adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ (TSX:PPTA) Stibnite Gold and Antimony Project, which has a value of US$2 billion, Resolution believes the Horse Heaven project hosts two “highly prospective” mineralised corridors which indicate similar geological characteristics to its neighbour.

The Department of Defense fast-tracked production at the Stibnite Project through the Fast-41 Program in April 2025, which has offered up to US$74 million in funding to streamline and expedite the permitting process.

The founding partner of Clewett Global Services, Todd Clewett has acted as the external affairs for Newmont (NYSE:NEM) and Fortescue (ASX:FMG), resolving mining and critical minerals projects with decision makers in Washington DC.

Executive Director Aharon Zaetz says the company is honoured to have Clewett on board the Horse Heaven Project, who shares the same enthusiasm for the project.

“Todd’s experience in working with governments to develop mining projects will be an invaluable asset to Resolution Minerals,” Zaetz says.

“Todd’s experience, knowledge and network in the White House provides him with an extremely rare and unique skillset that Resolution Minerals shareholders are extremely privileged to benefit from.”

Following drawbacks to export critical minerals between China and the US, the government is looking to expand its domestic supply chain of these materials to meet the global shift towards electrification.

Resolution Minerals is an explorer focused on the development of precious and battery metals at its portfolio of projects spanning the US and Australia.
