Resolute Mining (ASX:RSG) has increased its total resources by 60% from the acquisition of the Doropo and ABC projects in Côte d’Ivoire and exploration activities across its Bantaco and La Debo assets.
The company now has a total resource of 17.6 million ounces of gold, also increasing its total ore reserves by 55% to 6.8 million ounces of gold.
An increase in ore reserves is reflected from the addition of Doropo and Tomboronkoto, while mining depletion was offset in Mali and Senegal.
The Doropo Project hosts a total ore reserve of 2.5 million ounces of gold, which was uncovered in last year’s Definitive Feasibility Study, as well as a resource of 4.4 million ounces from 114 million tonnes @ 1.2 grams per tonne gold.
Meanwhile, last year’s exploration campaign at the Bantaco Project has increased the asset’s resources to 365,000 ounces of gold from the previously reported 266,000 ounces of gold.
Resolute conducted 91,000m of reverse circulation drilling and 17,700m of diamond drilling across Bantaco in 2025.
CEO Chris Eger says 36% of the company’s ore reserves are located in Côte d’Ivoire due to the addition of Doropo, which is a “favourable mining jurisdiction and a key pillar of the company’s organic growth plans”.
“The combined total mineral resources in Côte d’Ivoire now stand at 7.2 million ounces of gold, representing approximately 41% of Resolute’s total mineral resources,” Eger says.
“Resolute remains committed to extending the life of the Mako operation in Senegal, with 266,000 ounces of gold of mineral resources being outlined at Bantaco – a key potential satellite deposit along with Tomboronkoto – adding further confidence to the Mako life extension project.
“We are securing future growth by acquiring new permits in Côte d’Ivoire and actively pursuing further opportunities in Guinea.”
