Regis books record quarter in cash and bullion

Regis Resources (ASX:RRL) reports a record cash and bullion build of $149 million for the quarter ending 31 December 2024, resulting in a record balance of $529 million for the year.

During the quarter, Regis produced 101,300 ounces of gold, which is an increase from the 94,500 ounces achieved in Q1 FY25.

At the Duketon Gold Project, the company produced 58,300 ounces of gold, while the Tropicana Joint Venture produced 48,000 ounces during Q2 FY25.

In contrast, in Q1 FY25, Duketon produced 57,500 ounces, while Tropicana produced 37,000 ounces.

Regis, which has a market capitalisation of $1.94 billion, says this operational performance across the business was in line with its expectations and, paired with record unhedged gold spot prices.

The company has now delivered four consecutive quarters of “strong” cash generation.

As Mining.com.au reported yesterday (7 January), gold proved its resilience last year after surpassing all records and briefly touching nearly US$2,780 ($4,401) per ounce in October 2024.

Gold’s spot price is currently sitting at $4,263.68 per ounce, as of 8.30am AEDT today.

Regis Resources is a gold producer and explorer focused on its assets across Western Australia. The company’s assets include the Duketon, Tropicana, and McPhillamys projects.
