Redstone Resources returns high-grade’ Cu mineralisation from Chatsworth Prospect, WA

Perth-based Redstone Resources (ASX:RDS) reports the presence of ‘outstanding’ and ‘high-grade’ copper (Cu) mineralisation following a reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Chatsworth prospect, as part of its West Musgrave project Western Australia (WA).

The results, generated by 4 RC drillholes completed at the end of 2021, have confirmed previously reported hand-held portable XRF analyses, which showed ‘high-grade’ Cu mineralisation between and beyond the limits of the relative historical drilling.

‘Significant’ results include, 16m at 2.88% Cu from 74m including 9m at 4.6% Cu from 76m and 2m at 7.62% Cu from 76m (TLC190), as well as 10m at 2.51% Cu from 174m including 3m at 4.71% Cu from 175m (TLC188).

Drilling was conducted to test for continuity of volume between and beyond historical drilling.

The company also notes that drillholes TLC188 and TLC189 have successfully extended the vertical continuity of the Cu mineralisation within some of the historical drillholes, with mineralisation remaining open towards the surface.

Mineralisation within drillhole TLC192 has also been extended to about 120m vertically and remains open towards the surface.

In addition, it is believed that there may be opportunities in the Tollu resource yet to be realised due to the success of the limited RC drilling within the Chatsworth prospect.

As of 2.45pm AWST Redstone Resources’ share price had increased by 136.36%.

Redstone

Redstone Resources is an ASX-listed exploration company focused on highly prospective Cu exploration properties in WA’s West Musgrave region. The company’s West Musgrave project is located about 40km east of the world-class Nebo-Babel nickel-copper-platinum grade element (Ni-Cu-PGE) deposit now owned by fellow mineral exploration company Oz Minerals (ASX:OZL). The tenure in which the project is hosted is considered highly prospective for intrusion-hosted Ni-Cu-PGE and IOCG deposits.

With results from the 2021 RC drilling campaign now received, Redstone Resources announces assay results from its most recent drilling campaign completed in September of this year are currently pending.
