Perth-based explorer Redstone Resources (ASX:RDS) has extended a thick lens of copper mineralisation at the Chatsworth prospect within the Tollu deposit at its West Musgrave Project in Western Australia.
The company reports recently returned geochemical assays confirmed that reverse circulation (RC) hole TLC205 has extended the thick lens of copper mineralisation, proven in the previous drilling program, towards the surface.
Hole TLC205 intersected 11m @ 1.2% Cu from 29m downhole, extending the previously intersected ‘high-grade’ copper lens 20m further towards the surface.
Redstone reports TLC205 was positioned to test for extensions of the copper mineralisation previously intersected in RC holes TLC188, TLC34, TLC33, and TLC189, which proved a ‘high-grade’ copper lens intersected in historical drilling at Tollu extended shallower and deeper while holding ‘significant’ volume and grade.
Additionally, TLC205 has demonstrated that the ‘high-grade’ copper lens at Chatsworth is up to 26m thick, has a consistent grade of over 1% copper, and extends over 140m vertically from TLC205 to its deepest intersection to date in TLC188 at 174-184m downhole.
Due to no drilling having been completed below TLC188, the company believes the thick ‘high-grade’ copper lens intersected in TLC205 remains open at depth and extends further to just below the surface, noting there is ‘very little’ transported cover at Tollu.
Commenting on the results, Redstone Resources Chairman Richard Homsany says: “We are strongly encouraged by these latest assays, which clearly show that the high-grade copper mineralisation intersected at Chatsworth in historical drilling holds considerably more volume than originally thought.
Drilling also confirms a consistent high grade of over 1%, with much of the latest drilling from Chatsworth yet to be incorporated into the existing JORC resource at the Tollu deposit.

Redstone reports the targeted copper lens has now been intersected in 5 drillholes. Assays include hole TLC189 with 26m @ 1.46% Cu from 61m, including 1m @ 5.1% Cu from 84m; TLC033 with 5m @ 2.21% Cu from 100m; and TL188 with 10m @ 2.51% Cu from 174m, including 3m @ 4.71% Cu from 175m.
Redstone Resources is an Australian base and precious metals developer focused on exploring its West Musgrave Project in Western Australia. The company is also evaluating the HansTails Gold Project in Kalgoorlie for potential development in future.
Additionally, Redstone recently entered into an option agreement to acquire the Attwood Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
