Redcastle gold project WA

Redcastle Resources uncovers broad-based gold anomalism at namesake project, WA

Redcastle Resources (ASX:RC1) reports the presence of broad-based gold anomalism following a recently completed auger soil geochemical drilling operation at its flagship Redcastle Project in Western Australia.

The results, generated by a total of 1093 auger samples, have defined broad gold anomalism demonstrated with numerous highly anomalous results, including 1.55g/t Au and 1.47g/t Au.

These results add to the previously reported ‘high-grade’ drill intercepts, which included:

  • 10m @ 29.16g/t Au from 6m
  • 3m @ 26.62g/t Au from 34m
  • 3m @ 10.36g/t Au from 61m

Speaking on the results, Redcastle Technical Director Trevor Dixon said: “Our brand spaced soil geochemical programme over the bulk of the Redcastle project site has defined significant gold anomalism outside our initial focused RC drilling sites.

“This work … provides compelling rationale for the continuation of extensional drilling to define the scope of the high-grade gold mineralisation”

This work comes off the back of our successful recent follow-up RC drill campaign, and provides compelling rationale for the continuation of extensional drilling to define the scope of the high-grade gold mineralisation reported thus far.

The data assists in refining our targets and preparation for drill testing these areas, some of which have never been tested notwithstanding that they are the sites of historic workings over significant strike extents.”

The company also notes that these recent results have successfully outlined several new surface targets and provides important data for extensional follow up drilling.

The Redcastle Project is located about 62km earth-southeast of the township of Leonora within the northern goldfields of Western Australia and is prospective for gold mineralisation.

The projects associated tenements consist of a mix of one granted mining lease and various prospecting licences.

With the results from the Auger Soil Sampling operation now returned, Redcastle announces it remains focused on extensional follow up drilling to the previously reported drill results.
