Raiden Resources’ Crixás project nears final review

Raiden Resources (ASX:RDN) has addressed all regulatory requirements for its Crixás Gold Tailings Project in Brazil, with only a water management report remaining before the final environmental permit review.

The company has completed all administrative, legal, and technical items requested by the State Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development (SEMAD), while the water management report has been completed and will be submitted to SEMAD in the coming days.

Subject to the reissuance of the environmental permit, Raiden aims to evaluate the project’s near-term production potential through three workstreams costing less than $1 million.

These include an initial drilling program to support a JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate, fast-tracked metallurgical evaluation focusing on gravity and flotation routes, and progression to a final investment decision (FID).

Managing Director Dusko Ljubojevic says the company is entering the final phases of the approval process for Crixás.

“Strategically for Raiden, our goal is to rapidly evaluate and, if feasible, advance a fast-tracked production route for the project,” Ljubojevic says.

“Once all necessary approvals have been received, Raiden intends to rapidly undertake its planned evaluation process for the project, including drilling and metallurgical programs.”

Encompassing 28.79 hectares, the Crixás project is located approximately 5km from the town of Crixás. It comprises a large valley-fill gold tailings deposit derived from decades of artisanal mining using stamp mills rather than modern processing technologies.

The company has identified drilling contractors and technical teams that are ready to commence work following regulatory approvals. Preliminary engagement with processing plant commissioning teams has also begun.

“We continue to view Crixás as a compelling opportunity to reach a near-term production outcome, given the project’s access to infrastructure, power, and services, together with the inherent advantages of a tailings reprocessing opportunity,” Ljubojevic says.

Raiden Resources is a base metal and gold exploration company with a portfolio of projects across Western Australia, Southeastern Europe, and Brazil.
