Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has appointed Rachel Kogiopoulos as its new Chief Financial Officer at a “pivotal” time of growth.
Kogiopoulos has more than 25 years’ experience in mining and mineral processing sectors, where she has provided strategic leadership including complex finance transformation and business planning, to mineral explorers and developers.
Kogiopoulos previously held the role of Finance and Business Services Manager at De Grey Mining, which was recently acquired by Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST).
CEO Mitch Thomas says Kogiopoulos’ depth of financial expertise in the resources sector will advance the company as it progresses drilling across its projects in Peru.
“Rachel’s appointment will bolster Solis Minerals’ leadership team and reinforce the company’s strategic vision and operations,” Thomas says.
Kogiopoulos has also been appointed as CFO for Core Energy Minerals (ASX:CR3).
Executive Director Tony Greenaway says Kogiopoulos will play a key role in the opportunities that lie ahead for the company as it progresses exploration across Australia, Brazil, and Namibia.
Solis Minerals is an emerging mineral explorer focused on unlocking the potential of its South American copper portfolio. The company is building a copper portfolio around its core tenements of Ilo Este and Ilo Norte and elsewhere in the Coastal Belt of Peru.
