Québec Nickel completes Ecru deal

Québec Nickel (CSE:QNI) has closed the acquisition of the Ecru Project located in Nevada, US, marking its entry into one of the world’s premier gold mining districts.

As Mining.com.au previously reported, the company paid US$540,000 ($758,196) in cash and shares. Québec Nickel will also grant Oregon Royalties a 2% net smelter return royalty on Ecru.

The company says the acquisition allows it to leverage its technical and corporate expertise to create value by exploring and advancing this project.

Québec Nickel intends to advance the project through a systematic technical review and disciplined exploration planning. This will include preparing a technical report to support future evaluation and strategic decision-making.

Previous exploration work on Ecru includes geophysical surveys, geochemical datasets, and minor drilling which uncovered multiple untested targets. These targets include a potential shallow intrusive-related target with similarities to the Robertson deposit, and possible lower plate carbonate host rocks at depth.

With the acquisition completed, Québec Nickel plans to proceed with a name change to Aurbis Resources under the ticker symbol ‘AURR’. Further updates will be provided once the company receives final approval for the proposed name change.

Québec Nickel is a mineral explorer focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing critical metal projects.
