Aurbis plans Québec nickel spinout

Aurbis Resources (CSE:AURR) is planning to spin out its Ducros Nickel Project in Québec, Canada, into a new public entity.

The move aligns with the company’s strategic shift towards gold exploration.

Earlier this year, Aurbis (then known as Québec Nickel) closed a deal to buy the Ecru Gold Project in Nevada, US, and made it its flagship asset.

At Ecru, the company is exploring for the next gold discoveries within the Cortez camp, one of Nevada’s most prolific gold-producing regions.

Prior to acquiring Ecru, the Ducros Project had been the company’s primary focus. The property comprised as many as 280 mineral claims located north of Val-d’Or in the Abitibi region.

According to Aurbis, the proposed spin out of the nickel sulphide project is still in the early stages, and a private placement will be required to fund the business.

If completed, the company expects the new entity to begin listing in late 2026 or early 2027.

Aurbis Resources is a gold explorer committed to systematic, data-driven discovery on ground with genuine geological merit.
