Q2 Metals cements Cisco as ‘globally significant’

Q2 Metals (TSX-V:QTWO) has defined an inaugural exploration target, totalling between 215 and 329 million tonnes at a grade range of 1 to 1.38% lithium oxide, at the Cisco Lithium Project in Québec, Canada.

An exploration target is used to provide a conceptual estimate of the potential quantity and grade of a mineral deposit, based on known and additional limited geological evidence. It is considered an early-stage assessment that will help guide further exploration.

Q2 Metals says the potential quantity and grade of the exploration target are conceptual in nature.

Cisco’s exploration target encompasses the main mineralised zone, which includes 40 holes for 16,167.8m of drilling.

Vice President of Exploration Neil McCallum says the exploration target highlights the scale potential of Cisco, as well as its grade.

“The mineralised zone remains open at depth and along strike, and, with only 40 holes drilled so far, there is potential for significant expansion at the Cisco Project,” McCallum says.

“We are continuing the 2025 summer drill program with infill drilling of the mineralised zone in order to update the current exploration target to a NI 43-101 compliant inferred mineral resource estimate.”

CEO Alicia Milne adds that the exploration target represents a major milestone for the company and cements Cisco as a globally “significant” hard-rock lithium discovery.

“Cisco’s location within the James Bay lithium district, including proximity to the all-season Billy Diamond Highway and, most notably, rail at the nearby town Matagami, make it an ideal candidate for a development scenario,” Milne says.

Q2 Metals engaged BBA as an independent consultant to review all exploration and drilling conducted to date at Cisco and to complete the exploration target. BBA’s methodology included a complete review of the data and 3D modelling to create a conceptual volume of the pegmatite domains within the mineralised zone.

The Cisco Project, comprising 810 claims over 41,253 hectares, has district-scale potential with an already-identified mineralised zone.

Q2 Metals is focused on unlocking its portfolio of lithium projects in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec, Canada.
