Purepoint Uranium Group Dorado Project in Saskatchewan, Canada

Purepoint targets Nova expansion with summer drilling

Purepoint Uranium Group (TSX-V:PTU) has begun its summer drilling program at the Dorado project in the Athabasca basin in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The seven-hole program has commenced, totalling approximately 3,150m through July and August, targeting expansion of the ‘high-grade’ Nova uranium discovery. The Dorado project operates under a 50/50 joint venture with IsoEnergy.

Winter drilling successfully expanded uranium mineralisation across a 1km structural corridor and refined the geological model for continued exploration. Previous drilling at Nova returned assays of up to 8.10% triuranium octoxide.

Our objective this summer is to test the interpreted plunge of the mineralised structure, evaluate its potential extension toward the unconformity and continue assessing additional high-priority targets across the broader Dorado project,” CEO Chris Frostad says.

The winter campaign intersected radioactivity greater than 500 counts per second (cps) in all nine holes, confirming a peak reading of 73,100cps. Assays from the winter program remain pending.

The company recently completed an airborne MobileMT geophysical survey over the project. Results will be integrated into continuing geological interpretation and future drill targeting.

The Dorado project encompasses more than 98,000ha in the eastern Athabasca basin, surrounded by deposits, including IsoEnergy’s Hurricane deposit.

Dorado hosts multiple untested conductive corridors that exhibit structural and lithological characteristics associated with high-grade unconformity-related uranium deposits.

Purepoint operates exploration programs through joint venture partnerships with Cameco, Orano Canada, and IsoEnergy. The company also operates the Hook Lake and Smart Lake projects as part of a joint venture with Cameco and Orano Canada.
