“Production is a key focus,” Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) COO Sonja Neame tells Mining.com.au on the sidelines of the Gold Coast Gold Conference in Surfers Paradise last week.
Larvotto is currently working on rolling out a workforce plan while pushing the Hillgrove Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales towards production by mid-2026, as reported.
“We started with six employees in Perth and I think it was about six in Hillgrove when we first acquired the mine,” Neame explains.
“I think we’re at 150 now, so we’re nearly there.
“Production is our goal, and then steady state.”
The company is on track to meet this production goal, with plant refurbishment works progressing on schedule and on budget.
The production goal was established from Larvotto’s return of a Definitive Feasibility Study and final investment decision last year, as well as site activities that have progressed since.
As reported by Mining.com.au mid-last year, the Definitive Feasibility Study confirmed the Hillgrove Project to be robust with an initial eight-year mine life.
The final investment decision, returned within 18 months after acquiring the asset, identified $140 million worth of development costs, including refurbishment and upgrades to the infrastructure, process plant upgrades and construction, underground mining, equipment costs, and other site costs.
Development costs were covered by a senior secured bond issue that raised US$105 million, as well as a $60 million equity raising conducted last year, as reported.
Larvotto Resources is an Australian explorer focused on developing its Hillgrove Project in New South Wales into production.
The Gold Coast Gold Conference was held over two days (25-26 March 2026) at the QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise, Queensland.
Mining.com.au was a media partner for the Gold Coast Gold Conference 2026 and was in attendance over both days.
