Pivotal uncovers mineralisation proximal to Lorraine Mine

Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has extended mineralisation near the Lorraine Mine from induced polarisation and surface fixed loop electromagnetic surveys conducted at the Belleterre Project area in Québec, Canada.

The induced polarisation survey revealed gold-focused anomalies to extend for up to 1.8km east, hosting grades of 28m @ 45 grams per tonne gold from underground channel sampling.

Pivotal says numerous high-chargeability targets correlate with historical drilling, trenching, and surface sampling activities at Belleterre.

The company also uncovered copper-nickel-gold targets that are coincident with high chargeability and low resistivity responses. Historical surface samples include up to 0.63% copper and 0.93% nickel.

These responses are proximal to the Lorraine mine, extending known mineralisation east of the previously producing mine. Lorraine historically produced around 600,000 tonnes @ 1.4% copper, 0.6% nickel, and 0.6g/t gold.

Pivotal will target its findings in upcoming drilling, which is expected to mobilise in late-January 2026, while the company completes its ongoing surface fixed loop electromagnetic survey at the Alotta-Midrim-LacCroche trend.

The company has also planned geophysical programs to take place at the Blondeau and Roy prospects.

Managing Director Ivan Fairhall says results from the IP survey validate the systematic approach Pivotal is taking across the Belleterre district.

“Multiple high-quality chargeability anomalies coincident with historic high grade gold, copper, and nickel mineralisation reinforce the scale and fertility of the system,” Fairhall says.

“With drilling expected to mobilise shortly and multiple geophysical programs underway, Pivotal is materially increasing the pace of exploration. Our focus is on rapidly building and testing a pipeline of high-quality copper-nickel-platinum group elements and gold drill targets.

“As we move into 2026, Belleterre is emerging as a district-scale opportunity, which, alongside the advanced Horden Lake deposit, supports our excellent positioning to capitalise on the rapidly increasing demand and pricing environment for our core commodity suite.”
